A database is a collection of data organized in a manner that allows access, retrieval, and use of that data. Microsoft Access allows you to create a database; add, change, and delete data in the database; sort data in the the database; retrieve data from the database; and create forms and reports using the data in the database.

Microsoft PowerPoint 97 is a complete presentation graphics program that allows you to produce professional looking presentations. PowerPoint gives you the flexibility to make informal presentations using overhead transparencies, make electronic presentations using a projection device attached to a personal computer, make formal presentations using 35mm slides, or run virtual presentations on the Internet.    Microsoft Outlook 97 is an integrated desktop information management(DIM) program that helps you organize information on your desktop and share information with others. Microsoft Outlook allows you to manage personal and business information such as e-mail, appointments, contacts, tasks, and documents, and keep a journal of your activities. Outlook organizes and stores the information in folders.
